At Gonzales Dance Academy, our goal is to create a welcoming environment for students of all ages, whether they have dance experience or are just starting out. Here at GDA, our passionate instructors are dedicated to helping every dancer reach their full potential in the art of Folklorico. Through our emphasis on culture, traditions, and heritage, we aim to not only build a strong foundation in dance but also empower everyone to become the best version of themselves both on and off the stage.
Our purpose at Gonzales Dance Academy is to unite different communities through the shared love of Folklorico. We strive to collaborate with every generation, community member, and dancer at heart to create unforgettable experiences that will last a lifetime. Hello everyone,
I'm John Gonzales, and I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to our Folklorico family at Gonzales Dance Academy! As we begin another thrilling dance year, my goal is to help dancers of all ages reach new heights in their performances. I am dedicated to offering exceptional instruction, nurturing a positive atmosphere, and sharing dance techniques that elevate each dancer's artistry and showmanship.
For the past 30 years, I’ve been honored to teach in many wonderful communities both within and beyond Tulare County. It's been an exhilarating journey, and I'm incredibly proud of the milestones we’ve achieved together: launching Gonzales Dance Academy in Porterville in 2021, expanding to Visalia in 2022, and now opening in Fresno in 2023! My mission goes beyond teaching Folklorico; it’s about creating a production that celebrates our cultures, traditions, and heritage. I want every family, friend, and loved one to feel a sense of pride knowing that our roots are honored and cherished through the Gonzales Dance Academy.
